of age or permanent or temporary disability.

Members can
use the NDDS for any kind of trip within the Borough of Northampton.
This includes visits to Doctors’ Surgeries, Dentists and Opticians.
We
are unable to take members who have been referred by their G.P. to
Hospitals or Clinics.
NDDS
operates between 08.30 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday
Members
can use the service on any
operating day
There
is no service on Bank Holidays or Weekends except for Excursion Trips
There
is a Registration Fee to become a Member, which is currently £12:50,
payable each year.
Once
registered, Members pay a fare on the outward and return journeys,
depending on mileage.
NBC
Concessionary Travel Permits are accepted.
Guide and
Helper Dogs are carried free of charge.
We offer two services to
members.
Our regular shopping service to
the Town Centre and large supermarkets is based on your postcode and the
day of the week. These are booked 3 days in advance and can be booked
for up to 4 calendar weeks
The Door-to-Door service
operates between 08.30 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday for
any other trip within the Borough of Northampton. These are booked two
working days before the day of travel.
We
only have one booking line and members may have some problems getting
through on the telephone. As we only have 4 buses to cover the whole of
Northampton, they may be disappointed when they do get through because
the times they wanted have already been booked.
Please
be as flexible as you can in your travel requirements
Our
advise is to start ringing at 9:30 and just keep at it. We will always
try and fit you in but there will be times when you will be unable to
travel.
